Directions for Facial Gua Sha:

Apply oil to clean skin. You don’t need a lot, just enough to help the stones glide over the skin.

Each stroke should be done 3-5 times with gentle but firm pressure. Hold the tool at a 30°-45° angle to avoid digging into your face. There might be slight redness from circulation boost but there should not be marks left on the skin.

Never glide tools up or down the neck

*Do not use over any botox or filler, or areas recently having laser or peels.

*Do not use over pustule acne, irritated or red skin, raise moles, herpes, or new scars.

Start at the clavicle, use the notched part and glide the gua sha tool horizontally along the collarbone from the center outwards, massage the notch under the lateral end of the clavicle.

Use the smooth side to glide the tool under the jaw from the center towards the ear, massage the notch under the earlobe.

Use the notched part, start at the chin and glide the tool up towards the ear along the jawline, massage the jaw muscle in front of the ear.

Use the tool to glide around the mouth, massaging at points above and below and to the sides of the mouth.

Use the notched part to glide over the cheekbone from below the eye by the nose moving outwards toward the ear, gently massage under eye. You can also use the tool under the cheekbone from the center moving outwards.

Use the tool across the eye brow, avoid the eyelid.

Massage between eyebrows, you can use a little more pressure here.

Gently glide tools over the forehead, massaging temples.

Use tools to massage the sides of the head in a backward circular motion with medium pressure.

Use the flatter side of the tool to work down the traps from the base of the skull down the back of the neck to the shoulder with medium pressure.
